The title of our Tuesday Movie is announced at the VILLAGE PEOPLE Events page of www.vawevents.blogspot.com Now you can click on a link to a descriptive story line. Peter demonstrated how this is setup. Stanton Rickey had sent him an E-Mail suggesting changes to the original posting. Peter highlighted the revised storyline and copy/pasted the replacement. A password is required to edit such postings. After SIGN IN, click on NEW POST or EDIT POST.Enter new or revised text. (images may be inserted as well).Then click on PUBLISH POST. Done.

Peter showed how to selectively print hard copy of partial portions of a blog (or E-Mail or Website). Highlight desired section, then go to FILE pull down and click on PRINT. When the PRINT SCREEN appears, place a tick mark opposite SELECTION and hit OK.. This way you eliminate adverts, background color and clutter.

Peter gave a detailed demonstration of the use of SKYPE to make a FREE SKYPE to SKYPE TELEPHONE CALL with VISUAL VIDEO of the two parties. A WEBCAM and MICROPHONE are required.
Newer model computers often have these items built in. Several club members followed along on their personal laptops. The caller can contact the other party by searching their E-Mail address or by highlighting their CONTACT NAME if already posted to the caller’s website.
Go to www.skype.com and click on DOWNLOAD.On next screen click on DOWNLOAD NOW to install the SKYPE 4.1 Program.SAVE to your DESKTOP.
Be careful not to select extra paid programs. Uncheck all extras that are offered. Select your name and password for access. Write it down !
Click on the SKYPE icon to bring up a WELCOME SCREEN that allows you to test and demo the program.Once established you can highlight a person on your CONTACT LIST and make a CALL or VIDEO CALL. Or you can enter their E-Mail address for a new contact. When call is terminated be sure to hit END CALL to turn OFF. Check that you are really off.

If you are as paranoid as Peter, go to the lower right screen. One right click on the Skype icon. Select QUIT. Now it really is off !
